Knox County Weather...

Knox County enjoys a moderate climate with the benefit of four distinctive seasons; somewhat hot, humid summers, moderate winters, and variable weather in both spring and fall.

Prevailing winds are from the southwest. The area lies in the path of moisture-bearing low pressure formations from the Gulf of Mexico. These systems and the movement of polar cold fronts affect temperature and precipitations.

Knox County CEO Welcomes New Facilitator!

On behalf of Knox County, we would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to the new Bond County CEO community facilitator, Kristi Utt.

Kristi Utt, Facilitator for CEO program
Our new CEO facilitator will help to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, discover and experience learning through real-world activities. This individual was selected because she demonstrates a passion for learning, she has the ability to connect with our students and our community -- and collaborate with our CEO community’s board -- and, most importantly, she has a willingness to provide guidance to our students throughout their personal CEO journeys.

Kristi Utt earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana State University and a Master’s degree from Oakland City University for her teaching certification in Business and Chemistry. She is also certified as a Media Specialist. Kristi has taught dual credit Marketing, Introduction to Business, and Web Design through Vincennes University.  At North Knox Junior Senior High School, she teaches personal finance, various computer classes and heads up the Internship program. She enjoys challenging her students to problem solve and creatively think through hands-on real life projects.  She pushes her students to reach beyond what they think they can accomplish and give their best effort while achieving their dreams. Kristi has also been an advisor to Student Council, Yearbook, Drama Club and Business Professionals of America (BPA). Before teaching, Kristi worked as a licensed employee benefits agent specializing in renewals and employee benefits education for large businesses, hospitals and school corporations.

Kristi and her husband, Kent share four children: her son, Blake, is a financial counselor for Gibson General Hospital, her daughter, Mason, is a registered nurse on the Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital, his daughter, Madison is in her last year at Vincennes University studying elementary/special education, and his son, Mason, is a junior at North Knox Junior Senior High School. Kristi enjoys horse riding and camping with her husband, reading and family time.
